EducationBiomedical Engineering Major with a Minor in Psychology at Rutgers University - New Brunswick.
ExperienceI have had tutoring experience through the Viking Volunteers and Big Brother, Big Sister clubs that I was a part of in high school. In both clubs, I was responsible for assisting in helping elementary school students with their homework assignments and engaging them in their after-school program. Additionally, I took the last month of my high school career off through the Senior Society program offered at my school to return to my elementary school and be a mentor in one of the classrooms.
My SAT score is 2070. I have scored 5's on the AP Biology and AP Calculus AB exams and scored 4's on the AP Chemistry and AP Environmental Science exams.
I want to be a tutor because I enjoy getting to share knowledge with others and believe that it is my duty to help those who might need a slight nudge in some areas if I am able to. Since the successive generations of current students will be the ones running the world someday, I consider it a duty to ensure that those who have a passion to succeed do not fall behind in any way.
My relevant college-level courses include: Intro to Biomedical Engineering, Calculus II Math/Physics, Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations Math/Physics, Intro to Computers for Engineers (MATLAB), Engineering Mechanics (Statics), Analytical Physics 1A, 1B & 2A with associated lab course. My relevant high school level courses include: Honors Biology, AP Biology, Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, AP English: Literature and Composition, AP Calculus AB. I have received grades of B or higher in all of these high school and college-level courses.
I have been a member of the College of Engineering Dean's List since my first semester at Rutgers. In high school, I was a member of various honor societies, such as the National Honor Society, and received high academic honor roll consistently. I have volunteer experience through institutions such as the Princeton University Hospital and the American Red Cross Association.
HobbiesAside from school-work, my interests include hanging out with friends, enjoying video games, and playing sports such as basketball and badminton. When I am alone, I read frequently and like to keep myself occupied with the current events of the world.
